As someone who is forever trying out new hair styling products to replace my GHD and curling tongs, I have often found that nothing really works except for mousse and hairspray. Yettt, I continue to try everything in existence, and so I found myself most recently falling victim to Trevor Sorbie's Beautiful Curls Beach Hair.
This comes in the form of a salt spray which is supposed to create tousled curls by absorbing excess moisture from the hair (which really doesn't sound great if you're looking for a product to prevent you from using heat products which dry out your hair), but I really really loved this stuff!
This can't be used on wet hair, and a little goes a long way, which means that the bottle lasts forever = happy purse! I'm not really sure what the definition of 'beach curls' is, but I think this comes pretty close to achieving them! It left my hair looking really natural, and was great to use just after blow-drying. However, if you have dry hair, I'm guessing that you would want to go easy on it to a certain extent as it does dry out your hair a bit.
The price depends on the shop, but comes in at around €6/€7 - definitely worth buying! It also smells good enough to eat...
Good day,
ReplyDeleteHow does one use it? I have really fine hair, medium length and I am looking for something to curl my hair rather than to straighten it which I would usually do. I bought this product but not sure I'm using it correctly. I wash my hair and put on a leave-in conditioner..leave to dry slightly and then apply the beach spray. It curls..but it comes out really unruly :( should I first style my hair? Maybe curls and then apply this product? Please help - I have no clue.
Thank you.
Missy.
Hi Missy!
ReplyDeleteYour hair sounds pretty similar to mine! When I used it, I washed my hair as normal, and used a wash-out conditioner (don't know if that makes much of a difference) and then sprayed it liberally on the bottom 3/4 of my hair, scrunching it as I go. I don't think spraying it on styled hair would work, it might make it a bit too wild! It doesn't exactly "curl" the hair - if you're looking for barrel curls or something like that, but I found it gives my hair definite waves. Try spraying a bit on your hair before you dry it, then blow dry it and put more on if needed - but do scrunch it with your hands. Hopes this helps!
